Eroticism comes from the Greek ‘eros’, which literally means ‘lust’, ‘love’ or ‘desire’. Eroticism is a part of sexuality but focuses on the sensual and emotional aspects. This includes, for example, subtle play with sexual stimuli and fantasies, often with the aim of stimulating arousal. Eroticism can be expressed in language and actions with partners, but also in literature, art and music.
