Sexual assistance supports people with learning difficulties, physical or mental impairments to live out their sexuality in a self-determined way. Passive support means, for example, helping a couple to undress. Active sexual accompaniment, on the other hand, can mean, for example, erotic massages or supporting a couple with impaired mobility during sex. The aim is to strengthen the client’s sexual self-determination. As a paid sexual service, active sexual accompaniment is considered sex work.
